Children and teenagers
While discussing various aspects of good manners and contemporary diplomatic protocol we cannot forget about the youngest – that is children and those a little bit older – young people. Kids that do not cause trouble in public places and can gracefully behave in all circumstances are the joy and pride of every parent. Many parents reckon that teaching good manners to a child is not an easy task. There is much truth to that that is why this process should be started as soon as possible. Couching sessions offered by Art of Manners concern: knowledge of the correct ways of introducing yourself and establishing relationships, necessity of using magic words, being respectful towards others, knowledge of the rules of cultural behaviour during meals and various ceremonies and in public places, telephone conversations, raising awareness of cultural differences and etiquette rules. At the same time, our goal is to convince young people that in modern times good manners do not have to be associated with boredom and old-fashioned etiquette seen in costume dramas. By conducting practical trainings and “brain storms” we try to show children and young people that it is possible to be a well-brought up person in the 21st century and at the same time do not be considered “a square apple.”
